Description: SUITE MINIATURE, Op. 145 (10 Easy Pieces) for solo piano was composed by Alexander Gretchaninov (1864–1956), during the composer’s late period in exile after leaving Russia in the wake of the Revolution. Written as a set of short, accessible character pieces, the suite reflects Gretchaninov’s continued devotion to music intended for teaching and domestic performance rather than the concert virtuoso tradition. Today SUITE MINIATURE occupies a modest but valued place in piano pedagogy, appreciated for its glimpse into the late creative voice of a composer who carried the Russian Romantic tradition into a changing modern world. Movement titles: 1. Chanson d’Aurore; 2. Chant d’Artisan; 3. Humoresque; 4. Bal Champetre; 5. Fanfare de Coquelicots; 6. Vers la Maison; 7. Souvenir de l’Ami Lointain; 8. Au Foyer; 9. Phantasme; 10. Valse dans le Soir. Reprint edition.
