Description: This arrangement for brass sextet by Clifford Barnes of the 3rd (Prelude; Allegro maestoso) and 4th (Fugue; Allegro moderato) movements of Felix Mendelssohn’s ORGAN SOANATA No. 2, MWV W 57 (1845), is a substantive work, but very playable by an advancing group of brass musicians. While the original organ work is written in C Major, Barnes transposed this arrangment to A-flat. Instrumentation: 2 Trumpets in B-flat, Horn in F or E-flat, Trombone, Baritone in treble or bass clef, and Tuba.
