Duration: 4 minutes

Description: Composed in 1993, Fantasia for Solo Violin was inspired by the sonatas of Eugène Ysaÿe, which in turn were inspired by the unaccompanied solo violin works of J.S. Bach. Three motives, each with programmatic implications, form the basis of the work, moving from a wandering, despondent feeling to a an almost religious prayer until triumph finally prevails.
