Description: Written in 1608 and showing the more homophonic style that Gabrieli was developing, CANZONA PER SONARE No. 1 (also called “La Spiritata,” Ch.186)) is the perfect selection for any program. Uniquely suited to low brass instruments, Gabrieli’s music will bring a wonderful sonority to the ensemble. This timeless music is a perfect selection for contest or concert use by an advancing tuba quartet. Both treble and bass clef parts are provided for the two Euphonium parts.
