Description: TWELVE VARIATIONS ON “AH, VOUS DIRAI JE, MAMAN”, K. 265/K. 300e, is a set of twelve piano variations by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), composed around 1781-1782 during his early years in Vienna. Taking a simple French folk tune-familiar as TWINKLE, TWINKLE, LITTLE STAR-Mozart transforms it with brilliant imagination: from delicate ornamentation to dramatic virtuosity, the work traverses a wide emotional and technical landscape. The variations were first published in Vienna in 1785. Today, this work holds an esteemed place in the piano repertoire, admired both for its pedagogical value and for its enduring charm and inventive craftsmanship, making it a beloved staple in both concert and teaching settings. This edition is orchestrated by Lucas Drew for flute and string orchestra. Instrumentation: SoloFl: String Orchestra (8.8.5.5.5 in set).
